Thor’s First Day at Daycare

A heartwarming story about friendship, kindness, and celebrating what makes us different

The Story

This first book is about Thor (a goofy Newfoundland puppy) going to his first day of daycare. Thor is naturally a happy and friendly pup and he is excited for his first day but before Thor's dad drops him off Thor's dad reminds him that if he should see anyone who is lonely to seek them out and and invite them to play. Thor goes in eager and ready to play but spots a small, sad, dalmatian puppy named Oreo that is sitting all alone. Remembering his dad's advice, Thor runs over and introduces himself and Oreo responds by explaining that the other dogs won't play with him because he looks so different than the rest of them since Oreo is the only dog covered in spots. Thor explains that he is different too! He is super giant sized and that what matters most is what is in your heart. They unite and play together and before long all the other dogs join in too!

The Lesson

Being different is what makes the world beautiful.

Thor showed everyone that a simple act of kindness can bring everyone together. No matter how big or small, how fluffy or spotted, what truly matters is having a good heart and being a good friend.
